Transmission and Drivetrain

The 2024 Nissan Armada has a 7-speed automatic transmission equipped with a manual shift mode and Downshift Rev Matching. Downshift Rev Matching is a feature designed to enhance the smoothness of downshifts by synchronizing the engine speed with the rotational speed of the gear being engaged. This feature is especially beneficial for maintaining control during spirited driving or when carrying heavy loads. Depending on your preference or the driving conditions, there are two drivetrain options. The first option is the standard Rear-wheel drive (RWD), which typically offers better fuel efficiency and a more enjoyable driving experience. However, if you frequently participate in off-roading or drive in challenging weather conditions, it may be beneficial to choose the optional Intelligent 4x4 drivetrain with a 2-speed transfer case.
